Midfielder Conor Newton has completed a move to Rotherham United on a free transfer.
Newton spent the last campaign on loan at St Mirren, but despite impressing in Scotland, he was released by Newcastle United.
The 22-year-old was heavily linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Birmingham City and Millwall were also said to be interested, but Newton has opted to sign a contract with Rotherham.
Newton will have to wait to see what division he will play in next season as the Millers are currently preparing to face Leyton Orient in the League One playoff final.
