Jim McIntyre bemoans wasteful Ross County

Ross County boss Jim Mcintyre admits that his team were not clinical enough during their 3-2 defeat to Dundee United.

Ross County boss Jim Mcintyre has admitted that poor finishing was to blame for his side's 3-2 defeat at home to Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership.

County were 3-0 down at Victoria Park on Friday night before two late goals gave them a chance of taking something from the match.

However, they were unable to find an equaliser as Dundee held on to keep County at the bottom of the table.

"The difference for me was United were ruthless and we weren't," McIntyre told is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We got into some great positions especially in the first half and we were wasteful. The decision whether to pull the trigger, we were too careful. That was the difference when United got into that position, they were deadly."

County return to Scottish Premiership action next Saturday when they make the trip to Motherwell.
