Preview: Roma vs. Lazio

Sports Mole previews the Rome derby between Roma and Lazio.

Roma go into the derby encounter with local rivals Lazio knowing that victory will see them move above Juventus in the Serie A table.

The Giallorossi have capitalised on Juventus's inconsistency with 14 points from six games to move to within one point of the leaders, while Rudi Garcia has seen his team tighten up in defence with three clean sheets in a row.

Barring any late fitness issues, Garcia is likely to name the same starting lineup that secured a 1-0 success at Udinese in midweek.

Lazio go into the game at the Stadio Olimpico unbeaten in their last six fixtures in all competitions, while their recent league record of three wins and two draws equals that of their opponents.

The Biancazzurri have been in fine form in the final third with at least two goals being scored in their last five fixtures, and head coach Stefano Pioli will be looking to Felipe Anderson to continue his hot streak in front of goal.

Luis Pedro Cavanda and Ogenyi Onazi are in contention to start in place of Lorik Cana and Senad Lulic.

Roma:

Form in Serie A: WWDWDW
Form in all competitions: WDLWDW

Possible starting lineup: De Sanctis, Maicon, Holebas, Astori, Manolas, De Rossi, Pjanic, Strootman, Totti, Ljajic, Iturbe

Lazio:

Form in Serie A: LDWWDW
Form in all competitions: DWWWDW

Possible starting lineup: Marchetti, Basta, Radu, De Vrij, Cavanda, Mauri, Biglia, Onazi, Parolo, Felipe Anderson, Dordevic

Sports Mole says: 2-1
