The future of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe reportedly remains shrouded in uncertainty despite Neymar's latest contract developments.
With both attackers set to see their contracts in the French capital expire in 2022, Neymar is understood to be on the verge of penning a new four-year deal with Mauricio Pochettino's side until the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
However, there is little word on how talks over Mbappe's future are progressing, with the former Monaco man reportedly a priority target for Real Madrid in the upcoming transfer window.
According to Marca, the good relationship that Mbappe and Neymar enjoy could persuade the former to stick around if his teammate does commit his future to the club, but it remains to be seen if the Frenchman will want to ply his trade in Paris for another year.
The report claims that money will not be an issue for Mbappe, but if the World Cup winner refuses to pen fresh terms at the Parc des Princes, PSG will hope to offload him this summer in order to avoid losing him for nothing next year.
Mbappe has struck 30 goals in 36 matches for the Ligue 1 champions this term and will hope to steer France to victory over Kazakhstan in Sunday's World Cup qualifying battle.
