Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas believes that Alexandre Lacazette is a better player than Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.
When the Lyon chief was asked to quantify Lacazette's worth, Aulas claimed that his striker would cost more than Bale, who moved to Los Blancos for a world record £85m back in the summer of 2013.
"You can't put a figure on [Lacazette's value]," told Le Parisien. "What's the name of the Welshman at Real Madrid? Bale! I think Alexandre is a lot better. But Alexandre doesn't have a price, so it's pointless thinking of one.
"He is an intelligent boy, he knows the team and the coach allow him to express himself and to become one of the best European strikers.
"The OL will grow faster than all its major European competitors. Would Alexandre be wise to leave before Euro 2016? I do not think so."
Lacazette has scored 15 goals in Ligue 1 this season.
