Barcelona could hand a debut to Luis Suarez against Real Madrid on October 26.

Luis Suarez could make his first start for Barcelona against Real Madrid in October.

The first El Clasico of the season has been set for the weekend of October 26, when the former Liverpool hitman's four-month ban is due to expire.

Suarez joined the La Liga outfit in a deal worth £75m this summer, but cannot so much as enter a football ground after being slapped with a suspension for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup.

The new La Liga season will commence on the weekend of August 24, when Barca take on Elche at home and Real play host to Cordoba.

The second El Clasico of the season will take place on March 22, 2015.
