Rafael Benitez wants more goals from Isco

Real Madrid midfielder Isco needs to start adding more goals to his game 'to make the most of his quality', according to Los Blancos head coach Rafael Benitez.

Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has called on Isco to start adding regular goals to his game.

The 23-year-old only netted six times in 53 games for Los Blancos last season and is yet to find the back of the net in three league matches this term.

Benitez has paid tribute to the qualities of the Spanish international, but wants more goals from the midfielder, whose best scoring season was 11 in the 2013-14 campaign.

"He's a fantastic footballer and what he needs to do is continue working with intensity and dedication. And make the most of the quality he has to get a few more goals; that would benefit everyone," Benitez told reporters.

Real Madrid open their Champions League Group A campaign at home to Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
