Cristiano Ronaldo praises Carlo Ancelotti

Cristiano Ronaldo praises Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti following Los Blancos' progression into the Champions League final.

Cristiano Ronaldo has lavished praise on Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti following Los Blancos' progression into the Champions League final.

The Spanish outfit recorded a 4-0 win over Bayern Munich in the second leg of their semi-final last night to book their spot in Lisbon next month.

Ronaldo, who scored twice on the night, believes that Ancelotti "deserves all the credit" for masterminding the counter-attacking masterclass at the Allianz Arena.

"Ancelotti deserves all the credit. He has changed everything. He has changed the mentality of the players. Scoring four goals away at Bayern is not easy. The team has done very well. We're lucky. You have to give congratulations to the team, who are very close," he told AS.

"We manage the team in the best way and that makes thing easier. The team was phenomenal and we are in the final, which is what we wanted. I'm not surprised [by the team's unity] because it was good in the first-leg too.

"I'm happy because our defence is awesome. They are all playing very well and people further forward seized the opportunity."

Ronaldo has scored 16 times in the Champions League this season.
