Schalke 04 boss Jens Keller believes that the Champions League last-16 clash with Real Madrid will provide his team with "a fantastic challenge".
The two sides were paired together in the draw on Monday, with the first leg to be held at the end of February in Germany, before Schalke travel to Madrid in March.
"It's a great draw for us and our fans," he told reporters at a press conference.
"It's a fantastic challenge for our players to play against the most famous club in the world with players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Iker Casillas and Gareth Bale. We are really looking forward to it."
Schalke finished second in their Champions League group behind Chelsea.
