David Beckham has backed Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo to produce his top form when the Champions League returns this month.
The Portuguese international, who has been out of sorts for Los Blancos this term, has scored eight goals in 17 La Liga appearances, with the club 19 points behind league leaders Barcelona.
Former Madrid midfielder Beckham has said, however, that Ronaldo will propel the Spanish giants past Paris Saint-Germain and further into the Champions League knockout stages.
"It is going to be difficult with PSG on top form at the moment," the ex-player told Marca. "This is the moment for Los Blancos as they love this competition. Look at the players that they have like Cristiano.
It is in these moments that the top players come to the fore and the game is going to be incredible to watch."
Ronaldo has won three Champions League crowns with Madrid since joining from Manchester United in 2009.
