Zinedine Zidane picks up first Real Madrid Castilla victory

Real Madrid Castilla beat Trival Valderas 3-1 to win for the first time this season under new manager Zinedine Zidane.

Zinedine Zidane has picked up his first league victory as manager of Real Madrid Castilla courtesy of a 3-1 win over Trival Valderas this afternoon.

Following three successive defeats in charge of Castilla, Zidane's charges got off to the perfect start when Burgui fired them ahead with 10 minutes played.

Gonzalo levelled the contest up in the second half, but goals from Raul de Tomas and Alvaro Medran in the final 10 minutes ensured that the hosts took all three points.

Castilla now find themselves in 15th place in the Segunda B Grupo 2 table, while Valderas drop into the bottom three.
