Reading striker Nick Blackman feels that with manager Nigel Adkins at the helm, his side will "definitely bounce back" to the Premier League.

Reading striker Nick Blackman believes that his side will "definitely" get immediate promotion back to the Premier League.

The Royals suffered relegation this season as they finished the year in 19th place and amassed just 28 points from their 38 games.

Blackman told the club's official website: "Under this manager we will definitely bounce back. We'll be in a very strong position come this time next year. Of course this year has been a challenge.

"Of course people are very frustrated with how this season's gone, today typified it. We get ourselves into great positions and don't manage to hold on.

"People are determined, the squad are determined that's not the case next season. There is more than enough ability to be in the Premier League in the changing room."

Reading finished their season with a 4-2 defeat at the hands of West Ham United at Upton Park.
