Rayo Vallecano 0-1 Mallorca

Mallorca move level on points with Rayo Vallecano after a 1-0 victory over the Madrid based outfit.

Real Mallorca moved clear of the La Liga bottom three with a 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano this afternoon.

Ivan Ramis's goal just before the hour mark was enough for Mallorca to earn victory and lift them three places, level on points with their opponents.

It was Rayo who looked more likely to open the scoring in the first half but both Michu and Casado sent efforts off target.

Spaniard Ramis headed home from Gonzalo Castro's cross to score the only goal of the game in the 57th minute.

The hosts pushed for an equaliser but Mallorca were able to hang on comfortably to claim the three points.
