Rangers have moved five points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship table courtesy of a 2-0 win over Greenock Morton on Monday evening.
It took the visitors 26 minutes to open the scoring and the goal came from Kenny Miller, who made use of a deflection in his favour to convert from close range.
Rangers might have been further ahead at the interval, but Gedion Zelalem and Martyn Waghorn both missed opportunities to add to Miller's breakthrough strike.
Morton struggled to create chances throughout the match and fell 2-0 behind in the 70th minute when Barrie McKay combined with Miller before finding the bottom corner.
It was not an entirely positive night for the visitors, however, with Mark Warburton's side forced to play the final 20 minutes with 10 men after Andy Halliday was given a second yellow card for over-celebrating his team's second goal.
Rangers have now won their last five league matches, while Morton have lost their last three in Scotland's second tier.
