Half-Time Report: Rangers lead Raith Rovers at Ibrox

Rangers head into the break two goals up against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Championship as Lee McCulloch and the returning Kenny Miller find the net.

Rangers are two goals to the good going into the break against Raith Rovers in their Scottish Championship clash this afternoon.

The Glasgow side had Kenny Miller back in the line-up after he returned from a calf injury, though it was captain Lee McCulloch who opened the scoring.

Rangers worked a corner well, with Lewis Macleod finding space to cross for McCulloch, who finished with his head and put the hosts on the front foot with less than eight minutes on the clock.

The visitors were mainly restricted to speculative efforts from distance, but they did have a chance to equalise from a similar position to McCulloch at the other end. Paul Watson escaped his marker and met the ball with his head, only to see it sail wide.

Rangers doubled their lead with the half winding down, as the returning Miller putting the ball on a plate for Nicky Law, whose right-footed shot found the bottom corner sent the home side in with a comfortable 2-0 advantage.
