Queens Park Rangers' Danny Simpson: 'Teams know we are hard to beat'

Danny Simpson says that opponents in the Championship know that Queens Park Rangers are hard to beat.

Queens Park Rangers right-back Danny Simpson has said that opponents in the Championship know that they are hard to beat.

Rangers set a new club record of eight consecutive clean sheets by shutting out Barnsley last weekend to go joint-top with Burnley at the summit.

He told the club's official website: "Everyone wants to break records, whether it's the striker scoring goals, keeping clean sheets or winning games consecutively.

"It's nice to reach eight games without conceding because it shows that we're doing well. But it isn't just about the back five, it's the whole team that have worked hard to achieve it. We're all in it together.

"It sends out a message that we are hard to beat. Teams that we play are going to have it in their heads that it's tough to score against us."

Rangers can make it nine in a row when they travel to fellow Londoners Millwall on Saturday.
