Paris Saint-Germain come from behind to beat Lorient

Paris Saint-Germain come from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win over Lorient in Ligue 1.

Paris Saint-Germain needed two goals in the second half to clinch a 2-1 win over Lorient at Stade du Moustoir in Ligue 1 this evening.

Both goalkeepers came under pressure early on as Jordan Ayew unleashed a shot inside the first minute for the hosts, before Lucas Moura tested Benjamin Lecomte down the other end.

The hosts started to dominate possession as the half progressed, with Ayer, Valentin Lavigne and Rafidine Abdullah all having efforts saved.

Lorient continued to press, though, and managed to open the scoring just before half time when Ayew played the ball in for Raphael Guerreiro to slice in from a tight angle.

Javier Pastore tried to get the French champions back on level terms at the start of the second half, but his volley from the edge of the box was comfortably stopped.

PSG continued to press, and managed to find the equaliser when Edinson Cavani rifled the ball in from close range on the rebound, after his own shot had been parried moments earlier.

The visitors were ahead less than 10 minutes later as a through ball from Marco Verratti stretched the Lorient defence, leaving Jean-Christophe Bahebeck to slot the ball home from a tight angle.

Verratti could have added a goal of his own late on, but he mishit the ball, sending it high and wide of the Lorient goal.

The result leaves PSG second in the table, just a point off top spot, while Lorient sit 17th, just outside the relegation zone.
