Nothing to separate PEC Zwolle, AZ

PEC Zwolle missed out on the chance to climb to third in the Eredivisie table as they were held to a 1-1 draw by European rivals AZ this evening.

The result keeps Zwolle fourth in the standings, one point above AZ, although both clubs have fallen well off the title pace as PSV Eindhoven race clear.

The visitors took a fifth-minute lead at the IJsseldelta Stadion through Nemanja Gudelj, but Zwolle levelled through Jody Lukoki only 10 minutes later.

Gudelj collected a pass from Dabney Souza to thrash home his eighth goal of the season, only for Ryan Thomas to quickly set up Lukoki for the equaliser.

There were few chances in a second half in which the possession was shared 50-50, as the two rivals had to settle for a point apiece.
