Ricardo Valente fires Vitoria de Guimaraes past Pacos de Ferreira

Ricardo Valente strikes in the final minute as Vitoria de Guimaraes beat Pacos de Ferreira 1-0 in the Primeira Liga.

Ricardo Valente scored a late winner as Vitoria de Guimaraes edged to a 1-0 win over Pacos de Ferreira in the Primeira Liga this evening.

Joao Pedro had the first attempt on goal for the visitors, but his weak attempt caused no problems for Marafona.

Diego Joto soon threatened for the home side with a powerful strike that went narrowly over the bar, before Bruno Moreira placed a header just wide.

Pacos continued to look the more dangerous of the two teams and Helder Lopes evaded a number of challenges before drilling off target.

However, it was the visitors who scored in the final minute when Valente pounced to slot home and give his side a first league win in five outings.
