Norwich City complete signing of Steven Naismith from Everton

Norwich City complete the signing of Steven Naismith from Everton on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Norwich City have completed the signing of Steven Naismith from Everton for an undisclosed fee.

The Scotland international, who also attracted interest from Swansea City, has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year contract at Carrow Road.

The 29-year-old began searching for a move when his game time became limited under Roberto Martinez's tenure at Goodison Park.

Overall, the Scotsman has played more than 100 times for Everton, scoring 18 goals, but this season he was restricted to just 17 appearances in all competitions.

"I'm very happy to have signed because now I can concentrate on the football side of things," Naismith told Norwich's official website.

"Norwich have displayed class in the way they've done their business all the way through. They've shown how much they wanted me, which is great, and I'm delighted to be here."

Canaries manager Alex Neil added: "We are delighted to conclude this deal and bring Steven to the club. He's a proven performer at Premier League level and an established international with Scotland so arrives with excellent pedigree."

Naismith spent five years at Rangers before moving to the Premier League in 2012.
