Nice and Nantes have played out a goalless draw in their Ligue 1 encounter this evening.

Christian Bruls went close for the hosts early on when he sent in a long-range effort, which just crept wide of the target.

Serge Gakpe should have put Nantes in front when he got on the end of Vincent Bessat's cross, but the striker somehow forced his effort wide from just six yards out.

Alexy Bosetti then sent in a teasing delivery for Nampalys Mendy, but he saw his header tipped away from the top corner of the goal.

In a game which saw both sides waste a number of chances, Nantes were guilty this time as Papy Djilobodji headed wide with just the keeper to beat.

However, Mathieu Bodmer was the evening's worst offender as he sent his header over the bar from inside the six-yard box in the final few minutes after connecting with an inch-perfect delivery from Eric Bautheac.
