Emmanuel Riviere passes Newcastle United medical?

A report claims that Emmanuel Riviere is close to sealing a move to Newcastle United after he passes a medical on Tyneside.

Emmanuel Riviere has reportedly passed a medical ahead of his proposed switch to Newcastle United.

The Monaco striker is believed to have arrived on Tyneside earlier today after a fee in the region of £6.3m for his services was agreed between the two clubs.

He has since been given the all-clear where the medical examinations are concerned, meaning that an official announcement from Newcastle regarding his arrival is expected shortly, according to Sky Sports News.

The former France Under-21 international scored 13 goals in all competitions last term.
