Newcastle United forward Demba Ba has reportedly rejected an offer from Premier League strugglers Queens Park Rangers.
Ba has a clause in his current contract that allows him to open negotiations with any club which tables a transfer bid of £7.5m or more.
According to The Sun, QPR recently triggered the clause and then proposed an £80,000-per-week pay packet to the 27-year-old.
It is understood that the deal was snubbed because Ba is convinced that offers from higher-placed clubs will be forthcoming in the near future.
Ba has scored 11 goals in 17 Premier League appearances this season.
