Tim Krul admits that Newcastle United "need" to defeat Fulham on Tyneside tomorrow afternoon.

Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul has highlighted the importance of his side collecting all three points from their home fixture against Fulham tomorrow afternoon.

The Magpies are currently 15th in the Premier League table and are just three points above the drop zone.

"The next three games are massive. We need to get three points off Fulham. We know that," Krul told The Chronicle.

"We're still down the bottom in a dogfight. I think we can take a lot of confidence out of the game [against Benfica]. We have to recover quickly and work really hard on Sunday."

Krul has been tipped to start the encounter following his recent return from an ankle injury.
