Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has said that he is delighted with midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa.
The Frenchman, who was injured for much of his loan spell at the club a season ago, has drawn plaudits following recent performances after securing a permanent deal with the club in the summer.
"I am delighted with Hatem," he told the Evening Chronicle. "He's had to listen. And he's had to be patient.
"I have been drilling things into him. He now knows the responsibilities of being in this team. Once he's done them, he brings in his flair. That's what he's doing.
"He brings some amazing ability. He should be happy for himself."
Ben Arfa has scored four goals in 19 appearances for the Magpies this season.
