Fabricio Coloccini: 'We have grown away from home'

Fabricio Coloccini says that Newcastle United have cut out the mistakes they made away from home last season.

Fabricio Coloccini believes that Newcastle United have learned how to adapt their game away from home.

The Magpies won only twice on their travels last year, but beat Manchester United 1-0 on Saturday to record their fourth away victory of the season.

"After the mistakes of last year I think we have learned a lot away from home. We now know when we can play and when we have to be a bit more direct," Coloccini told reporters.

"We want to keep the ball all the time but sometimes you have to change it and you also have to fight."

Newcastle are seventh in the Premier League.
