Ryan Taylor ready to return for Newcastle United

Ryan Taylor insists that he is ready to return to the Newcastle United squad after over two years out of action.

Ryan Taylor has claimed that he is ready to make his return to the Newcastle United team after spending over two years on the sidelines due to injury.

The 30-year-old, who recently played 90 minutes for Newcastle's Under-21 side, is desperate to be given a chance by Alan Pardew soon, and believes that he could play a part in Sunday's trip to the capital to face Tottenham Hotspur.

"I've had a chat with the manager and I'd love to go to Tottenham," Taylor told members of the media. "It would just be nice to get back involved.

"It's a long time since I've played 90 minutes so the Under-21s game was something I needed.

"We built up to it well. We just had to get through 90. Now I can at least declare myself available and look to push on."

Taylor was set to return to action from damaged knee ligaments in April 2013, before another knee injury ruled him out until now.
