New Napoli striker Duvan Zapata has described signing for the Serie A giants as "a great joy" after finalising a move last night.
Zapata had his first training with Napoli this morning after becoming Rafael Benitez's sixth summer signing, turning down interest from Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United to seal a switch to the San Paolo Stadium.
The Colombian forward watched his new teammates start Serie A in style with a 3-0 win over Bologna last night, declaring that he felt an immediate connection with the passionate Azzurri fans.
He told the club's official website: "I experienced the emotion of the San Paolo and the great passion of the fans straight away.
"I thank the club for this opportunity, for me to play for Napoli is a great joy."
The 22-year-old will wear number 91 shirt for Napoli, deciding to match his squad number with the year of his birth.
