Team News: Dries Mertens starts for Napoli

Napoli opt to start Dries Mertens as their injuries pile up ahead of this afternoon's Serie A clash with Livorno.

Napoli coach Rafael Benitez has made three changes to his starting XI for this afternoon's Serie A clash with Livorno.

Dries Mertens, Federico Fernandez and Pablo Aremro all come in for the Azzurri, with Raul Albiol, Lorenzo Insigne and Juan Camilo Zuniga missing out.

Benitez is still without Gonzalo Higuain through injury, which means that Goran Pandev leads the line in a lone front role.

Livorno are without Marco Biagianti and Ruben Botta, with Innocent Emeghara getting the nod to start in attack.

Napoli: Reina; Mesto, Fernandez, Britos, Armero; Behrami, Inler; Mertens, Hamsik, Callejon; Pandev

Livorno: Bardi; Emerson, Rinaudo, Ceccherini; Schiattarella, Luci, Emerson, Lambrughi, Biagianti; Paulinho, Emeghara
