Manchester United and Newcastle United have reportedly been 'cleared' to pursue a transfer for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha.
The 24-year-old experienced a slow start at Signal Iduna Park after he joined Dortmund from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2023.
However, he has managed to establish himself in the Dortmund team this season, having started each of the last 10 competitive matches.
Nmecha has made a total of 19 appearances for Nuri Sahin's side this term, chipping into their attacking efforts with three goals and two assists.
The midfielder's impressive performances have caught the attention of Premier League clubs, raising the possibility that he could return to England after previously coming through Manchester City's academy system.

Why are Man United and Newcastle targeting Nmecha?
Man United could look to bolster Ruben Amorim's midfield options in January or the summer, especially with uncertainty surrounding the future of two of their experienced midfielders.
Casemiro and Christian Eriksen have both been linked with moves away from Old Trafford, with the latter out of contract at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is said to have expressed a desire to strengthen his midfield with Nmecha's signature.
The Magpies seemingly want Nmecha to add to their current midfield options which include Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes, Sean Longstaff and Sandro Tonali.
