Sporting Lisbon closing in on Bruno Fernandes replacement?

Sporting Lisbon are reportedly on the verge of completing a deal for Aleksandar Trajkovski, potentially paving the way for Bruno Fernandes to join Manchester United.

Sporting Lisbon are reportedly close to completing a deal for Palermo midfielder Aleksandar Trajkovski as a possible replacement for Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer following an impressive campaign which saw him score 26 goals from midfield across all competitions.

Manchester City are also understood to be interested in the Portugal international, but Sporting are eager to secure a replacement before they sanction any sale.

Alfredo Pedulla claims that the Portuguese outfit are now on the verge of signing Trajkovski on a four-year deal from Palermo.

The 26-year-old could complete his switch to Lisbon in the coming days, paving the way for Fernandes to join either of the Manchester clubs.

Trajkovski joined Palermo in 2015 and has gone on to make more than 100 appearances for the club.
