Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane insists that it would be "no big deal" for the Red Devils to lose Paul Pogba at the end of the season.

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has insisted that it would be "no big deal" for the Red Devils to lose Paul Pogba at the end of the season.

Pogba left Juventus to re-join United in the summer of 2016, and the midfielder has scored five times and registered four assists in 20 appearances for the 20-time English champions this term.

The 25-year-old's long-term future at Old Trafford is far from secure, however, with both Barcelona and Juventus strongly linked with moves during the summer transfer window.

Pogba was an unused substitute in United's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, fuelling suggestions that his relationship with Jose Mourinho is beyond repair.

"I think there are one or two problems with players, obviously not on top form," Keane told Sky Sports News. "And the obvious one being Pogba. If he's sitting on the bench today and not getting on then you're thinking his days must be numbered.

"I don't think they'll do anything with Pogba in January but come the summer you move him on and it's no big deal, he's left Manchester United before."

Pogba won four Serie A titles with Juventus between 2012 and 2016, having moved to the Old Lady after becoming frustrated with his lack of playing time at United.
