Report: Manchester United preparing Felipe Anderson bid

A report claims that Manchester United will press ahead with a £40m move for Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson in the January transfer window.

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a bid in excess of £40m for Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson.

The Red Devils are winless in their last seven games in all competitions and it is understood that the board will make funds available for new signings in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Louis van Gaal's future, the club are said to be working behind the scenes on new signings and according to reports in Italy, one of those is 22-year-old Anderson.

The Brazilian playmaker, who has scored four times in 17 Serie A appearances for Lazio this season, is believed to be valued in the region of £40m by his current club, who signed him from Santos in 2013.

Man United will attempt to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they host Chelsea on Monday evening.
