Manchester City have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic in the January transfer window.
The Croatian inspired Sevilla to Europa League success last season, before making the move to Barca in the summer window.
Rakitic has failed to hit last season's heights this term, however, and has been in and out of the first team at Camp Nou.
Manchester United are said to be preparing a £20m move for the 26-year-old, but according to The Express, Man City are also in the hunt.
Rakitic has scored four times for Barca this season.
