Manchester United are reportedly looking at Inter Milan loanee Joao Cancelo as a possible replacement for Antonio Valencia, but face strong competition from Juventus.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly turned to Portugal international Joao Cancelo in Manchester United's search for a new right-back.

The Red Devils boss is understood to be keen on strengthening in that defensive position in the summer as Antonio Valencia is soon to turn 33.

Italian outlet Calciomercato claims that Cancelo is seen as an ideal candidate to slot into the side, but United face strong competition from Italian giants Juventus for his signature.

Cancelo is currently on loan at Inter Milan from Valencia, with the Nerazzurri having first dibs on the versatile right-sided player.

Inter are unlikely to pay the full £30m asking price, however, allegedly opening the door for United and Juventus to battle it out.
