Manchester United are reportedly set to face competition in their quest to sign Sofyan Amrabat, with Italian champions Napoli interested in the player.
The 27-year-old had an eventful 2022-23 campaign, helping Fiorentina reach the Europa Conference League final before losing out in Prague to West Ham United.
Amrabat also had an interesting time on the international stage last term, reaching the World Cup semi-finals with Morocco in December, only to be denied a place in the final by France.
Since making the switch from Hellas Verona in the summer of 2020, the midfielder has featured 107 times for Fiorentina, scoring one goal during that three-year period.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli have joined Manchester United in the race for Amrabat this summer, with less than a week of the transfer window remaining.

Napoli won their first Serie A title in 30 years last season, finishing a convincing 16 points ahead of second-placed Lazio in the top-flight standings.
The report claims that Napoli are considering making a move for Amrabat in a deal which would see him continue to ply his trade in Serie A for the foreseeable future.
It is understood that the Moroccan has been expecting a bid from Man United to arrive, however with days remaining for a transfer to take place, the midfielder may have to consider other options.
The former Club Brugge man is currently training alone at the Italian club amid intense speculation around his future, and the player did not feature in his side's 4-1 win over Genoa last weekend.
It has been claimed that Man United are still in pole position to secure the services of Amrabat, with fellow Premier League outfit Liverpool supposedly pulling out of the race for his signature.

With the likes of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho securing lucrative switches to the Saudi Pro League this summer, much has been said about the Reds' lack of depth in defensive midfield, however the arrival of Wataru Endo from Stuttgart has eased those worries somewhat.
It is believed that a bid of £30m would be enough to bring the midfielder to Old Trafford within the next week, however the Red Devils need to offload unwanted players before any reinforcements can be made.
Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire are among a list of former first-team stars who are now surplus to requirements in Manchester, with the latter reportedly rejecting a proposed move to West Ham earlier in the window.
Man United will be looking to respond following a disappointing afternoon in North London against Tottenham Hotspur when they face Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
