Manchester United are allegedly plotting a swoop for Leicester City lynchpin Wilfried Ndidi.
The Red Devils were tipped to bring in a new face in midfield during the most recent transfer window before prioritising the signings of Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, United are running the risk of losing Paul Pogba on a free transfer next year, while Fred has attracted waves of criticism for his performances this term.
As part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's attempts to beef up his side's midfield, The Mirror claims that Ndidi could be a viable option for the Old Trafford outfit.
The report adds that United have identified the 24-year-old as an ideal alternative to Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni, who is also thought to be on the radar of Juventus and Chelsea.
Ndidi's deal with Leicester is not due to expire until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
