Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are allegedly among the clubs who have made an enquiry for Reims forward Hugo Ekitike.

Reims president Jean-Pierre Caillot has seemingly confirmed that the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have all asked about the availability of Hugo Ekitike.

Although the 19-year-old has failed to make an appearance since February, he has still contributed nine goals this campaign, ensuring that Reims remain out of relegation trouble in Ligue 1.

However, in January, Newcastle United failed with an approach for the prospect, the relevant parties at Reims deeming that it made more sense to continue their relationship until the end of the season.

According to Caillot, that stance will now change, the Reims chief acknowledging that Ekitike will move to a bigger club in the summer and every "big club" has shown an interest.

Speaking to Europe1, Caillot said: "In Hugo's case, he would waste time staying with us. We refused an offer of €35m (£29m/$37m) this winter, which is a lot of money for a club like ours.

"That money will be used to grow and improve the club. Hugo will be allowed to go, and he's probably going to leave. There wasn't a big club that didn't inquire for him."

As well as the interest from the Premier League quartet, the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also regarded as big admirers of the Frenchman.
