Chelsea are reportedly at the head of the queue for the signature of soon-to-be free agent Sergio Aguero.
The 32-year-old will end his glittering 10-year stint at Manchester City when his contract expires in the summer, and numerous clubs across the continent are believed to be in the race for his services.
Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have all been linked with the former Atletico Madrid man, but his preference is thought to be another club in the Premier League.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are hoping to win the race for Aguero's signature after losing out on the prolific striker 10 years ago, and his yearly wage demand of £13m would not be an issue for the Blues.
The report adds that Aguero would never consider a move to Man City's bitter rivals Manchester United, while Liverpool are prioritising defensive reinforcements for the 2021-22 campaign.
City would be expected to dip into their war chest for a big-name striker this summer, but Guardiola has admitted that the current financial climate could make it "impossible" to strike a deal for a world-class frontman to replace Aguero.
