Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma in January.
The 25-year-old has been a key player for the Seagulls since his arrival from Lille in 2018, making 111 appearances across all competitions, including 14 in the Premier League this season.
According to Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth, Villa are interested in signing the Mali international, who is currently away on international duty for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Bissouma has just under 18 months remaining on his contract at the Amex Stadium and talks over an extension are yet to have taken place.
The midfielder has previously been linked with Premier League giants Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, with the latter registering their interest in the £30m-rated midfielder over the summer.
Brighton head coach Graham Potter revealed in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's FA Cup tie with West Bromwich Albion that he expects all of his first-team players to remain with the club when the January transfer window closes.
