Ajax are reportedly considering making a loan offer for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.
The Netherlands international is widely expected to leave Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window, having failed to make his mark for the Red Devils since arriving from Ajax in September 2020.
Van de Beek has only made 60 appearances for the 20-time English champions, scoring twice and providing two assists, and he featured just 10 times last term, with his season ending in January due to injury.
The Dutchman has been involved in Man United's preparations for the 2023-24 campaign but is not believed to be in the plans of head coach Erik ten Hag.
Real Sociedad were said to be in discussions over a deal for the midfielder before pulling the plug in order to concentrate on signing Dynamo Moscow's Arsen Zakharyan.

According to The Sun, Ajax are currently showing an interest in their former player and are considering making an attempt to re-sign him on loan for the 2023-24 campaign.
The Dutch giants finished third in the Eredivisie last season, which saw them miss out on Champions League qualification, so they would struggle to sign Van de Beek permanently.
However, a loan move is a possibility, with much depending on Man United's plans for the midfielder.
Van de Beek played seven times in the Premier League last season and had been enjoying a run in the side before picking up a knee injury against Bournemouth which ended his campaign.

Man United have already agreed to sell Fred to Fenerbahce, while Scott McTominay is being linked with a move away from the club.
Mason Mount has been brought in to boost the midfield department, joining the likes of Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen.
Kobbie Mainoo is also expected to be involved for the 20-time English champions once he has recovered from an ankle problem that he suffered during pre-season.
Van de Beek faces a battle to be included in the squad for Man United's opening match of the 2023-24 Premier League campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.
Ten Hag has said that Harry Maguire will be available, though, despite the club accepting an offer from West Ham United for the English centre-back.
