Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck has rejected David Moyes's claims that he needs extra training sessions.
The Scottish boss recently revealed that he told Welbeck to follow Wayne Rooney's lead and stay behind in training.
However, the England international has responded to the claims by insisting that he has always put in extra preparation ever since he was a youngster.
"I have been doing that ever since I have been at United," The Guardian quotes Welbeck as saying. "Obviously I have been injured this season so maybe the manager has not seen me on the training pitch as much.
"Maybe, I haven't seen what he has said. Obviously, at Manchester United, I want to be working hard and I have been doing that ever since I was a young kid. I just want to keep on getting better and improving."
United are currently eighth in the Premier League table.
