Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong are among those that have been selected in the Manchester United squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.

The Red Devils set off from Manchester Airport on Sunday night, and will take on Club America, San Jose Earthquakes, AC Milan, Liverpool and Real Madrid during their time in the USA.

United will be without the services of 12 first-team players due to their involvement in the 2018 World Cup, which has meant that a number of youngsters have been given the opportunity to impress during pre-season.

Greenwood, 16, scored 17 times for United's Under-18 team last season, and he is joined in the squad by Dutch winger Chong. RoShaun Williams, Ethan Hamilton, James Garner and Joshua Bohui have also all travelled.

There is a spot in the squad for Angel Gomes, and Italian defender Matteo Darmian was also present despite the speculation surrounding his future.

Alexis Sanchez was not pictured by photographers on Sunday night, but the Chilean could join up with his teammates across the Atlantic.

Summer signings Lee Grant and Diogo Dalot will both be hoping to make their debuts over the next few weeks.
