Manchester United winger Nani has praised manager David Moyes for trying to give him confidence this season.

The 27-year-old Portuguese international has struggled for form during the current campaign, making just six appearances in all competitions.

However, Nani has credited Moyes and the rest of the coaching staff at Old Trafford for encouraging him to get back to his best.

"The manager has been fantastic with me," he told the Daily Star. "He has been giving me advice and trying to help give me confidence.

"The coaches are trying to get my confidence higher to show all the qualities I have got. They are trying to get me back to my best level."

United return to Premier League action on Sunday when they make the trip to Cardiff City.
