Saturday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:
Chelsea 'alerted to Jadon Sancho price cut'
Chelsea are reportedly contemplating whether to renew their interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
The England international had seemingly been in line to join Manchester United last summer until the coronavirus pandemic hit football finances around the world.
Dortmund have allegedly reassessed their asking price for the 20-year-old, who was once valued in the region of £110m.
According to Bild, the German outfit will be prepared to accept a bid in the region of £88m in the future, a development which is said to have alerted Chelsea.
While the Blues are well stocked for options in the final third, Thomas Tuchel will naturally want to make his own signings during the next transfer window.
Sancho has contributed five goals and nine assists in the Bundesliga and Champions League this season.
Fabio da Silva urges Manchester United to sign Kieran Trippier
Former Manchester United full-back Fabio da Silva has urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to sign England international Kieran Trippier this summer.
The Red Devils are understood to be interested in recruiting a right-back and have previously been linked with the Atletico Madrid defender.
Fabio, who spent six years at Old Trafford between 2008 an 2014, believes that the signing of Trippier could even bring the best out of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
"If you see how Luke Shaw is doing this season, I think it's the best season he's been having for so long at Man United," Fabio told the Manchester Evening News.
"Alex Telles has made him improve, someone to say, 'if you're not playing well, if you're not concentrating, working hard, you're going to lose your place'.
"This definitely makes you play better, so for Wan-Bissaka if they bring in a good right-back, you're going to help him to improve, 100%. If you play every game, you have no competition and you can start to get in a comfort zone, it's not good for you."
Trippier, who spent over ten years with the academy at Manchester City, has made 20 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga leaders this season, providing five assists.
