Tottenham Hotspur 'considering Max Aarons as Serge Aurier replacement'

Tottenham Hotspur identify Norwich City's Max Aarons as a possible replacement for Serge Aurier, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Norwich City defender Max Aarons as a possible replacement for Serge Aurier during this summer's transfer window.

Aurier's long-term future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is unclear, having allegedly left the ground upon being substituted at half time of the Premier League clash with Liverpool on January 28.

The Ivory Coast international was subsequently left out of the match with Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend but was back in the starting XI against Chelsea on Thursday night.

According to Eurosport, Spurs have already drawn up a list of possible replacements for the former Paris Saint-Germain defender and view Aarons as a leading target.

The 21-year-old, who is also believed to be a target for Manchester United, impressed for Norwich in the Premier League during the 2019-20 campaign and has also been in strong form for the Canaries this term, contributing one goal and three assists in 28 Championship appearances.

Daniel Farke's side will allegedly find it difficult to keep hold of Aarons past the summer, with Bayern Munich also said to be exploring the possibility of signing the England Under-21s international.
