Manchester United must now turn their attention to the summer transfer window having left their business until late in January.
The Red Devils brought in Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo in the final days of the winter window but are still expected to be active in the summer as they aim to restore their former glories.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.
Monday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester United 'interested in Geoffrey Kondogbia deal'
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia during this summer's transfer window.
The 27-year-old made 34 appearances for Los Che during the 2019-20 campaign, including 27 outings in La Liga, where he contributed one goal and one assist.
The Frenchman's contract at the Mestalla has less than two years left to run, though, and there has been speculation surrounding his future in recent months.
According to FootMercato, United are exploring the possibility of moving for the midfielder, who is said to be keen on a switch to the Premier League ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Kondogbia started his career at Lens before arriving at Sevilla, spending the 2012-13 season with the Spanish club before impressing during a two-year stint at Monaco.
The Frenchman struggled to make his mark at Inter Milan between 2015 and 2018, though, and spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Valencia before arriving on a permanent deal in May 2018.
Los Che could struggle to keep hold of a number of key players this summer, having missed out on European football for next season courtesy of a ninth-placed finish in Spain's top flight.
Kai Havertz 'very interested in Chelsea move'
Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz is "very interested" in joining Chelsea during this summer's transfer window, according to Bleacher Report journalist Dean Jones.
Havertz's future remains the subject of much speculation, with the 20-year-old expected to leave BayArena this summer in search of pastures new.
Manchester United and Real Madrid have both been linked with the Germany international, but Chelsea are seemingly in pole position to secure his signature.
"He is interested, very interested actually. He really wants to push himself and Leverkusen are pretty surprised at how focused he is on finding a new club," Jones said in an interview with talkchelsea.
"He definitely wants Champions League football though so we will have to wait on that situation to be decided before knowing much more. If he joins then I'm not sure what the future holds for [Callum] Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea."
Havertz enjoyed an excellent 2019-20 campaign for his German club, scoring 17 times and registering nine assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.
Chelsea, who will face Arsenal in the FA Cup final on August 1, have already boosted their attack ahead of the 2020-21 campaign with the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
