Manchester United 'step up Jadon Sancho pursuit'
Manchester United are reportedly ready to press ahead with their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
The England international has been tipped to make the switch to Old Trafford for several months now, although the financial fallout of the coronavirus pandemic is likely to lead to a much quieter transfer window than initially anticipated.
Dortmund are allegedly not willing to lower their asking price for Sancho amid the viral outbreak, with the 20-year-old said to be valued at over £100m by the Bundesliga outfit.
However, according to The Sun, United are desperate to strike a deal for Sancho and add the Englishman to their ranks ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
The report claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to strengthen his options in the final third despite seeing his current crop of United players chalk up 21 goals in eight matches since the restart.
Sancho's prolific 2019-20 Bundesliga campaign saw him amass 17 goals and 17 assists for Dortmund in the German top flight, and the former Manchester City youngster is under contract at the Westfalenstadion until 2022.
Manchester United 'will not get cut-price deal for Jadon Sancho'
Borussia Dortmund will reportedly reject any cut-price offers for winger Jadon Sancho.
For a number of months, the England international has been heavily linked with a summer switch to Manchester United.
However, as a result of the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, it has been suggested that the Premier League giants may look to pay lower than the 20-year-old's valuation.
According to BBC Sport, Dortmund are not in a position where they will have to accept any bids below their asking price.
The report adds that the Bundesliga outfit will demand that the majority of the fee is paid upfront, rather than it being dependent on add-ons.
Sancho has two years remaining on his contract at the Westfalenstadion.
