Preview: Manchester United vs. Bayer Leverkusen

Sports Mole looks ahead to Manchester United's Champions League opener at home to Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.

David Moyes takes charge of his first Champions League game for Manchester United on Tuesday when they face Bayer Leverkusen at Old Trafford in Group A.

The Red Devils come into the match on the back of a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

Danny Welbeck is the only fresh injury doubt for the hosts after the England striker missed training on Monday, while Nani is suspended following his red card in last season's second-round defeat to Real Madrid.

Leverkusen, who are managed by former Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia, arrive at the Theatre of Dreams in decent form, thanks to four victories from their first five fixtures in the Bundesliga.

The two sides have met previously in the competition, with the German outfit winning a semi-final clash in 2002 before United got revenge twice in the group stage the following year.
