Michael Owen believes that Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney will damage Real Madrid's defence in tonight's Champions League clash.

Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen believes that the Red Devils will find the back of the net against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu this evening.

The two football giants go head to head in the first leg of the round-of-16 tie in the Champions League, and Owen, who currently plays for Stoke City, believes that Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney will be too much of a threat to Madrid.

Owen wrote on Twitter: "Can't wait for tonight's game. An away goal for United is vital and with their fire power I can't see Madrid keeping them out."

Meanwhile, reports have claimed that Madrid boss Jose Mourinho will be sacked if his team lose to United over two legs.
